Jonathan Edwards on Christian Love

"If love is the sum of Christianity, surely those things which overthrow Christian love, are exceedingly unbecoming Christians. An envious Christian, a malicious Christian, a cold and hard-hearted Christian, is the greatest absurdity and contradiction. It is as if one should speak of dark brightness, or a false truth!”
Jonathan Edwards
Amen. Thank you for sharing this today, Mr. Konvalin.
It relates so well to what Pastor Joe preached about this past Lord's Day.
"If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal."
1 Corinthians 13:1
"If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also."
1 JOHN 4:20-21
Thank you for demonstrating to me by your own life, what Biblical love truly looks like.
I pray that God will help me to cultivate the same kind of Christ-like love in my life, that I see in yours.
Love in Christ,
John
